Juicy red fruit and American Football

The humble watermelon. Possibly my favorite of all the fruits.

I was eating some for lunch yesterday and I thought… Where do watermelons come from? A quick Wikipedia page later…

Apparently its origins are in Sudan and then first widely cultivated in Egypt.

Who knew? I would have probably guessed Central America. Boy, was I way off.

That's the job of farmers, maybe. Or agricultural historians. They're probably up to speed on that stuff. No matter… I'm not expected to know much about such things.

And neither are you.

It takes a village as they say.

We all have strengths, weaknesses, interests, disinterests.

I've got some interests. Some strengths too.

I'm interested in computers. AI. Trail running. Traveling with my wife and kids.

I'm pretty good with numbers, building financial plans, helping clients establish and reach their goals.

And if you are as curious as a kitten… I'm bad at video games, trail running 🙃, and my kid's school logistics. And I have a deep disinterest in football. (Though I will gladly come hang for beer and wings.) I'm a baseball man, thankyouverymuch.

And so it goes for you. You have your own list.

Presumably, one of your strengths is running hospitals right? Or at least something in that arena. That's certainly a weakness of mine… at least I think so.

But I have people like you and you have people like me…

I'll let you run my hospitals. Meanwhile, I'll help you run your personal wealth. Because I think I'm just super at that.

If you're interested, let me know and we can get started with a short, two-week engagement. It's called the Deferred Comp & Retirement Review… $1,250, and if you read it and don't think it was worth it, I refund it. No long term commitment. Just reply to this email.

Copacetic? Cool.

All the very best,

John Montgomery
