Wads of cash

One of my teenage nephews celebrated a birthday recently.

Good kid.

I don't have sons so I enjoy imparting great wisdom on such occasions. It's one of those rare moments when a teen might actually listen...

Who am I kidding?!

He sliced the envelope open and grabbed the $40 like a TV preacher.

But! Had he read my pithy note... oh what wisdom he would have gleaned.

Alas, we'll never know what he could have done with that.
